Creative Business Innovations is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead for a leading Tier 1 Honda Supplier. This senior-level role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with technical leadership and employee development. The Engineering Lead will manage engineering projects while developing, delivering, and continuously improving technical training programs for engineering personnel.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Project Leadership
Lead engineering projects supporting new model launches, process improvements, and productivity initiatives.
Support equipment procurement, run-off, pre-pilot, pilot builds, capability studies, control plans, and measurement system analysis (MSA).
Interface with customer Product Development Engineers to resolve product design and manufacturing challenges.
Support the installation, integration, and startup of new assembly equipment and production lines.
Supervise equipment installation, troubleshoot startup issues, validate production readiness, and transition equipment to Production and Maintenance teams.
Develop work instructions and job aids for production, quality, maintenance, and engineering associates.
Participate in cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and resolve production issues.
Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting manufacturing processes, root cause analysis, statistical evaluations, and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Training & Engineering Development
Design and implement structured technical training plans for engineering team members.
Develop career development plans that align employee growth with business objectives.
Deliver internal technical training on manufacturing technologies including:
Vision systems
Torque systems
Leak testing systems
Barcode and scanning systems
3D printing technologies
Coordinate external training programs for advanced technologies including:
PLC programming
CMM/FARO Arm measurement systems
CATIA and SolidWorks
Robotics
Train engineers in:
Cycle time analysis
Line balancing
Lean Manufacturing
Equipment troubleshooting
Basic project management
Track and maintain engineering training records and development progress.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, performance metrics, and employee feedback.
Stay current on emerging manufacturing technologies and incorporate best practices into training programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5–10+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
Minimum of 5 years leading, mentoring, or training manufacturing engineers.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly, automation, machining, or fabrication.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and production systems.
Knowledge of automated assembly equipment is highly preferred.
Experience with torque systems, vision systems, PLCs, leak testing systems, and scanning technologies is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication, coaching, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, maintenance, quality, and customer teams.
Work Environment & Requirements
Approximately 50% dedicated to engineering projects.
Approximately 50% focused on technical training and employee development.
Approximately 25% travel required.
Manufacturing plant and office environment.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required while on the production floor.
Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, Saturdays, holidays, and shutdown periods as business needs require.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the plant for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 76 pounds and carry materials as required.
Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, company quality systems, safety standards, and all company policies.
