Creative Business Innovations is seeking an experienced MP&L Supervisor (Materials Planning & Logistics) for our client, Gulf Shore Assemblies in Talladega, Alabama.
This position plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring materials are available at the right time, inventory remains accurate, and logistics operations run efficiently in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
The MP&L Supervisor will oversee materials planning, warehouse operations, inventory control, and production support activities while working closely with suppliers, purchasing, production, and scheduling teams to maintain uninterrupted operations and support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Materials Planning & Production Support
• Supervise daily materials planning and logistics activities
• Ensure continuous material flow to support production schedules
• Coordinate material availability and support production demands
• Identify and resolve material shortages and supply disruptions
• Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to support operational performance
Warehouse & Inventory Management
• Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and line-side delivery
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory control practices
• Manage inventory levels and support efficient material movement
• Maintain accurate information within ERP/MRP systems
Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Coordinate with production and scheduling teams to support customer requirements
• Communicate and escalate supply concerns proactively
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Lead and develop warehouse personnel and logistics team members
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive operational efficiency and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
3–5+ years of experience in Materials Planning, Logistics, Inventory Control, or Warehouse Supervision
Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience strongly preferred
Experience with ERP / MRP systems
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Experience

Tier 1 automotive supplier environment
Honda, Toyota, or OEM supplier experience
Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing systems
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Inventory management and cycle count programs
Supplier logistics and production support coordination
