Job Duties

  • Records associate information such as personal data, compensation, benefits,  tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, exit interviews, termination dates, and reasons.

  • Processes employment applications, background checks, pre-employment drug screens, and all other employment activities.

  • Updates associate files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.

  • Prepares reports regarding Overtime, Vacations, Turnover, and other reports as needed.

  • Compiles and maintains records for use in associate benefits administration.

  • Verifies timecards for payroll submission.

  • Executes  Onboarding Process, including New Hire Orientation, Benefits  Orientation, HR Follow-ups, 90-day reviews, and paperwork processing.

  • Processes monthly invoices and distributes costs to appropriate departments.

  • Manages temporaries and relationships with Temporary Agencies.

  • Administer disciplinary actions.

  • Process personnel action forms.

  • Answer policy questions.

  • Maintain manpower and order in temporary associates.

  • Attend and represent HR in meetings and training.

  • Process and track vacation requests.

  • Correspond with on-site trainers.

  • Answer phone, email, file, maintain office equipment and supplies, printing, fax, and scanning.

  • Must read the Company and Safety Handbook and enforce the policies and procedures included therein.

  • Safety apparel (PPE) and uniforms are mandatory.

  • Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs., and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet.

  • Work assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed.

Description

Assist with the development & support of new and existing equipment and processes. Optimize process flow using Lean Manufacturing and apply engineering principles, practices, and procedures in a high-volume automotive parts manufacturing environment.


Tasks of the Position

  • Provide hands-on mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming support of production equipment and processes.

  • Responsible for PLC support of our Allen Bradley PLCs

  • Capable and willing to perform mechanical mounting of assembly process equipment and material handling equipment.

  • Provides input into the design of our assembly equipment and processes.

  • Actively participate and support the Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, and Associate Involvement processes.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause/effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and problem-solving analyses.

  • Integrate closely with customer,  maintenance, and quality teams to maximize product quality, production output, and schedule compliance.

Support the HR  Manager with plant administration of Corporate HR activities such as performance management, open enrollment, and implementation of policies,  procedures, and processes. Coordinate community involvement and associate activities.


Tasks of the Position

  • Administers HR processes and programs at the plant level, ensuring consistency of practices and compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards.

Position Overview

Performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce tire/wheels and sub-assemblies.


Tasks of the Position

  • Places components on the production line as specified by the operations standards

  • Assembles components with the use of bolts, clips, and screws to otherwise fasten parts together

  • Participate in activities to include 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related continuous improvement events

  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Work in a standing position for a minimum of 8 hours

  • Perform tasks that require continuous reaching, grasping, twisting, leaning and bending

  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates in the organization

  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, using weight measurement, volume and distance

  • Possess organizational, priority/time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution


Job Requirements

  • Safety apparel (PPE) and uniforms mandatory

  • Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 ft

  • Tasks that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning and extension of the upper body

  • Must be eligible to obtain a forklift license

  • Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed

Introduction

CBI is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at a tier one Honda supplier in East Liberty, OH.


This position is a direct hire with the client company.


Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM with overtime required. Saturdays as scheduled.


Compensation

  • This position has a base salary of $58,000 annually with additional compensation after 45 hours within a given work week.


Description

  • Responsible for production operations while supporting quality and materials through the achievement of SQCDM and ensuring that the core values and policies of the company are maintained without compromise.


Tasks of the Position

  • Support Health and Safety efforts to promote zero tolerance for unsafe acts and conditions.

  • Provide clear direction and establish accountability.

  • Promote a team environment to supervise all aspects of production operations in the achievement of plant goals.

  • Develop Team Leaders and associates through training and guidance.

  • Maintain communication and continuity among production operations.

  • Utilize Lean principles to develop and implement countermeasures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products and services.

  • Achieve daily OEE goals and meet or exceed QOS performance goals via efficient manpower utilization.

  • Maintain accurate and timely production records.

  • Maintain daily attendance records using the current payroll vendor.

  • Provide scheduled performance reviews.

  • Provide Human Resources with written documentation for disciplinary action.

  • Lead, participate, and support Continuous Improvement activities, including 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related Continuous Improvement events.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.

  • Ability to interpret safety rules, customer schedules, operations standards, and procedure manuals.

  • Knowledge of computer systems; familiar with Microsoft Office products.

  • Must build and sustain positive communication with customers, suppliers, company peers, and associates.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Hands-on and working knowledge is required for each station/area on the assigned shift.

  • Provide leadership and teaching to Team Leaders and associates within their assigned area of production. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Education & Experience

  • An associate degree or 5 to 8 years of related experience and training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
